Sandeep Mishra Re-Elected As President Of Odisha Sports Journalists Association For 2026 To 2028 Term In Bhubaneswar
The Odisha Sports Journalists Association has successfully concluded its Annual General Meeting held on Saturday in Bhubaneswar, where new office bearers were elected for the 2026 to 2028 term. The meeting took place at the Utkal Journalists Association premises in the state capital and witnessed active participation from members of the sports journalism fraternity.
During the session, the association reviewed its financial performance by presenting the income and expenditure accounts for the 2025 to 2026 financial year. Members also discussed and finalized the draft work plan for the upcoming 2026 to 2027 period, focusing on strengthening sports journalism activities and initiatives in Odisha.
In the elections held during the AGM, Sandeep Mishra was unanimously re elected as the president of OSJA, continuing his leadership for another term. Samikhya Pattnaik was elected as the working president, while Tapan Kumar Swain took charge as the general secretary. Suresh Kumar Swain was elected as the treasurer, completing the core leadership team.
The association also announced other key office bearers. The vice presidents for the new term are Himanshupati Mishra, Sanjib Biswal, and Debi Prasanna Mohanty. The joint secretaries include Debashish Sundaray, Shubhalakshmi Bal, and Bimal Kumar Raul. Additionally, the executive committee members elected are K Ravi, Sambit Mohapatra, Gyanaranjan Mishra, D Niranjan Reddy, Shakti Prasad Nand, Benudhar Das, and Tushar Kumar Senapati.
The proceedings of the meeting were chaired by Sandeep Mishra, while Samikhya Pattnaik delivered the vote of thanks, marking the successful conclusion of the AGM.
The newly elected team is expected to play a crucial role in promoting sports journalism and enhancing media engagement in Odisha over the next two years.
