Odisha Shuttlers Shine at East Zone Badminton Championship 2025 with 3 Golds and 1 Silver

Odisha’s young badminton stars showcased exceptional talent and determination at the East Zone Badminton Championship 2025, held at the JRD Tata Complex in Jamshedpur, finishing the tournament with a rich haul of three gold medals and one silver on the final day. Their stellar performance has once again put Odisha on the badminton map, highlighting the state’s growing prominence in the sport. In the Junior Boys’ Singles category, Mayank Bharadwaj played a brilliant all-round game and clinched the prestigious gold medal, cementing his position as one of the most promising shuttlers to watch out for in the coming years.

Odisha continued its golden run in the Men’s Doubles event, where the pair of Ayush Pattnayak and Abinash Mohanty delivered a commanding performance to outclass their rivals and lift the championship title. Their teamwork and consistency earned Odisha its second gold of the tournament. The third gold medal for the state came in the Junior Mixed Doubles final, as the talented duo of Jayesh Agrawal and Sweetypriya Pradhan proved their mettle on the court. Meanwhile, in the Junior Girls’ Singles event, Tanvi Patri fought hard throughout the competition and advanced to the final, where she eventually settled for the silver medal after a spirited performance against her opponent. With a final medal tally of 3 golds and 1 silver, Odisha’s shuttlers emerged as one of the top-performing contingents at the East Zone Championship 2025.
