CBSE Class 10 Results 2025: Bhubaneswar Region Achieves 92.64% Pass Rate

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared the results of the Class 10 board examinations for the academic year 2024-25, revealing an overall national pass percentage of 93.66%. This marks a slight increase of 0.06% compared to the previous year, reflecting steady academic progress among students across the country. This year, a total of 23,71,939 students appeared for the examination, out of which 22,21,636 successfully passed. The results indicate consistent academic dedication and performance across India’s educational institutions.
The Bhubaneswar region has performed notably well, recording a commendable pass percentage of 92.64%. This strong performance places Bhubaneswar among the top 12 highest-performing regions in the country, underscoring its growing reputation as a center for academic excellence. Nationally, southern regions have once again dominated the top ranks. Trivandrum secured the highest pass percentage at an exceptional 99.79%, followed by Vijayawada with 99.60%, Bengaluru with 98.90%, and Chennai at 98.71%. These figures highlight the continued scholastic success of students from these areas.
A significant highlight of this year’s results is the consistent outperformance of girls over boys. The pass percentage for girls reached an impressive 95.00%, while boys recorded a slightly lower pass rate of 92.63%. The performance of transgender students also saw a remarkable improvement. With a 95.00% pass rate, transgender candidates achieved a 3.7% increase from last year, reflecting encouraging signs of inclusive academic development.
Despite the high success rate, a total of 1,41,353 students have been placed in the compartment category. These students will be required to reappear in specific subjects to secure a passing mark. CBSE is expected to release detailed information regarding the compartment examination schedule, revaluation procedures, and mark sheet distribution in the coming days.
