Odisha Plus II HSC Results 2025 Declared: 82.77% Students Pass, Girls Outperform Boys Once Again

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, announced the results of the Plus II Higher Secondary Examination (HSC) 2025 on May 21. The declaration was made by School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond at the CHSE headquarters in Bhubaneswar. This year’s overall pass percentage stood at 82.77%, reflecting a slight drop from last year’s 83.38%, yet maintaining a commendable level of academic achievement.

A total of more than 3.9 lakh students appeared for the Plus II examinations, which were conducted from February 18 to March 27, 2025. The examinations took place smoothly across various centers in Odisha under careful supervision and coordination by the education department. Once again, girls outshone boys in performance, with a pass percentage of 87.24% compared to the boys’ 77.88%. This continues the ongoing trend of female students excelling in state board exams. Among the academic streams, Science emerged as the highest-performing stream with an 87.50% pass rate. Commerce followed with 83.20%, while Arts recorded a pass percentage of 80.51%. When compared to the previous year’s data, Science showed a marginal improvement from 86.93%, Commerce rose slightly from 82.27%, and Arts remained close to its previous 80.95% result.
